This will help you learn how to overcome financial stress and fears. The greatest fear that is affecting most people right now is their financial situation. The stress of our dwindling retirement accounts, fear of losing our jobs and houses is consuming our nation. So many of us are terrified, extremely stressed and unsure of what is going to happen to us.

Watching the news makes this stress and fear even worse. It is downright depressing. You should limit your viewing of the news; it only creates more fear. Instead try to watch sitcoms, funny movies, westerns, and romance movies – they will lift your spirits.

To put it all in perspective, think about what you fear the most about your situation. Figure out what you can change and what can not be changed. Go ahead and start making the changes that you can and don’t worry about the other things that you can’t change. Oh yeah, right! How do I not worry about them?

Well, consider this; does your worrying ever change anything? No, of course it never does. So why worry? This is something you need to keep telling yourself over and over again. Worrying does not help and it definitely does not change anything.

When you find yourself starting to worry, remind yourself of this and think of something positive. Visualize doing something that you enjoy or picture a relaxing scene – a sailboat gliding across the water – anything that makes you feel happy. It is hard to do at first, but the more you practice, the more your subconscious mind receives the message that you do not want this stress and fear in your mind. It does become easier.

Many people, including myself, have had really great success with meditation, self hypnosis and brain entrainment audios to help calm this fear and stress. They can help you lower your threshold for stress. Spending thirty minutes each day listening to these audios will make you feel less stressed, calmer and more at peace with yourself.

You should take at least fifteen to thirty minutes a day in quiet solitude in order to calm your mind and relax your body. It will make a world of difference in your quality of life. Live a more balanced life.

As the old saying goes – Don’t worry – Be Happy!

Are you suffering with anxiety and would like help for your anxiety without taking drugs? Here is the solution you are looking for.

Are you suffering with anxiety and would like help for your anxiety without taking drugs? Here is the solution you are looking for. Anxiety is the most common mental health problem in America today. Between 13 to 25 percent of Americans suffer from anxiety, which can manifest as phobias, panic attacks, or obsessive-compulsive disorders. Fortunately, it is also the most easily treatable of all the mental disorders. Although some doctors do prescribe medication; behavior modification training has very favorable results and is the preferred method for treatment.

Anxiety sufferers have no reason to be embarrassed or to believe that there is not a cure for them. Fewer than 25 percent of people who suffer from anxiety will actually seek help because they are ashamed of their problem.

Everyone has anxiety. An occasional bout is expected. For instance, you’re stuck in traffic and will be late for an appointment; your hands start sweating and your heart starts pounding . This is quite common. But when this happens frequently or with intensity, it needs to be addressed.

Another problem associated with anxiety is the fear caused by the anticipation of an anxiety attack. These are not fears of speaking before a group, or fear of flying; these are fears that the feelings themselves will be too overwhelming and will cause loss of control or embarrassment. Sometimes it is thought that the racing heart and dizziness will cause death or that you are losing your mind.

Even though this is overwhelming to the person experiencing the attacks, other people around usually don’t see any outward signs of this terror.

Chronic anxiety can make other diseases worse, including heart disease, ulcers, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis, insomnia and many more. Identifying and eliminating sources of stress is the ideal treatment. It is important to cope with stress in a positive manner and protect your body from the harmful effects it has on you.

Good nutrition helps the body adapt better to stress, so eating a balanced diet is essential. An increase in lactic acid levels have been found to be an underlying factor in anxiety attacks. So try to eliminate caffeine, alcohol, and sugar which increase lactic acid. The increased lactic acid also creates a deficiency of several B vitamins, calcium and magnesium; a good multivitamin is recommended.

Daily exercise reduces tension, worry, improves your mood, and your ability to handle stress. Try to exercise at least thirty minutes a day. Walking is recommended – outside if possible.

Meditation is extremely helpful. It quiets the mind and helps you to relax. There are many guided meditation audios available to help you live a balanced life.

Recovery from the symptoms of anxiety is possible; there are many good behavior modification courses available to you. The below program has helped many people and is highly recommended.

Help for menopausal mood swings - This morning I looked in the mirror and wondered, what happened to the sweet, kind and loving person that I used to be. How and when did I become so mean and unkind?

Help for menopausal mood swings – This morning I looked in the mirror and wondered, what happened to the sweet, kind and loving person that I used to be. How and when did I become so mean and unkind? What in the world has happened to me? Ah yes!! The nasty menopausal mood swings are to blame. But how can I get back to my old self? Something has to be done immediately. I just can’t take this anymore (and my husband is not real thrilled about it either).

I have never been one to take drugs, so there must be a natural remedy available for this problem. So on to the computer I went to research my options. There is a lot of information to sort through. It is mostly about hot flashes and night sweats. Fortunately I made it through those symptoms after a year of suffering. I found that the black cohosh and soymilk did help me. Walking every day for 30 to 45 minutes did wonders for my hot flashes and also helped the terrible insomnia that plagued me since I started menopause.

I did notice that all of my menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, insomnia) got worse when I would get stressed. So maybe getting rid of the stress is part of the solution. I researched many different natural stress relievers and was impressed with the results people had with meditation. I have never done meditation before so I decided that I would try a few of the meditation tapes. I found several sites that had sample meditation tapes that could be downloaded for free. So I bought an MP3 player and downloaded the meditation sample recordings. You may think that I’m exaggerating (I’m not) but after listening to the recordings the first day I felt an immediate calm come over me. It was amazing! I am now hooked on meditation tapes. I purchased the full versions of the sample tapes that helped me the most and now I take an hour (or half hour if I’m pressed for time) out of my day to listen to them. Every once in a while I have a crazy day and don’t get to listen and I can feel the stress creeping up again.

You owe it to yourself (and your family) to take time out for meditation. You will be pleasantly surprised. I now also listen to Brain Entrainment and Dream Programming tapes which have also helped me tremendously; but that’s for another article. Finding meditation has been a true blessing for me. I am back to my old sweet self and feel better about myself than I have in years. I hope you will give it a try – you’ll be glad you did. Start living a more balanced life.
