Are you suffering with anxiety and would like help for your anxiety without taking drugs? Here is the solution you are looking for.

Are you suffering with anxiety and would like help for your anxiety without taking drugs? Here is the solution you are looking for. Anxiety is the most common mental health problem in America today. Between 13 to 25 percent of Americans suffer from anxiety, which can manifest as phobias, panic attacks, or obsessive-compulsive disorders. Fortunately, it is also the most easily treatable of all the mental disorders. Although some doctors do prescribe medication; behavior modification training has very favorable results and is the preferred method for treatment.

Anxiety sufferers have no reason to be embarrassed or to believe that there is not a cure for them. Fewer than 25 percent of people who suffer from anxiety will actually seek help because they are ashamed of their problem.

Everyone has anxiety. An occasional bout is expected. For instance, you’re stuck in traffic and will be late for an appointment; your hands start sweating and your heart starts pounding . This is quite common. But when this happens frequently or with intensity, it needs to be addressed.

Another problem associated with anxiety is the fear caused by the anticipation of an anxiety attack. These are not fears of speaking before a group, or fear of flying; these are fears that the feelings themselves will be too overwhelming and will cause loss of control or embarrassment. Sometimes it is thought that the racing heart and dizziness will cause death or that you are losing your mind.

Even though this is overwhelming to the person experiencing the attacks, other people around usually don’t see any outward signs of this terror.

Chronic anxiety can make other diseases worse, including heart disease, ulcers, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis, insomnia and many more. Identifying and eliminating sources of stress is the ideal treatment. It is important to cope with stress in a positive manner and protect your body from the harmful effects it has on you.

Good nutrition helps the body adapt better to stress, so eating a balanced diet is essential. An increase in lactic acid levels have been found to be an underlying factor in anxiety attacks. So try to eliminate caffeine, alcohol, and sugar which increase lactic acid. The increased lactic acid also creates a deficiency of several B vitamins, calcium and magnesium; a good multivitamin is recommended.

Daily exercise reduces tension, worry, improves your mood, and your ability to handle stress. Try to exercise at least thirty minutes a day. Walking is recommended – outside if possible.

Meditation is extremely helpful. It quiets the mind and helps you to relax. There are many guided meditation audios available to help you live a balanced life.

Recovery from the symptoms of anxiety is possible; there are many good behavior modification courses available to you. The below program has helped many people and is highly recommended.
