Fatigue is one of the most common complaints that people have.  <span id="more-323"></span>In this hectic world we live in, exhaustion will likely continue.   Fatigue is not a natural state.  Children and animals don’t suffer from fatigue.  When they are tired, they sleep and awaken renewed and fresh.</p>
<p>Adults drive themselves too hard and resist the natural biological cycle of resting and activity.  In order to banish our fatigue, we must get back in tune with nature and back to a mind and body system of health.</p>
<p>One of the major causes of fatigue is our diet.  Your energy can be increased by eating pure fresh foods instead of processed foods.  Energy foods include fresh fruits and lightly cooked vegetables, whole grains, and dried beans.</p>
<p>Foods that deplete energy are red meat, cheese, alcohol, coffee and canned foods.</p>
<p>Poor digestion can also cause fatigue.  Instead of eating large meals, break them into five or six smaller meals.  Chew your food thoroughly and eat slowly.</p>
<p>It is important to reduce stress as much as possible.  It drains the body of energy and causes it to function less effectively.  Daily meditation for 15 to 30 minutes a day is recommended.</p>
<p>Strenuous exercise is creating an epidemic of exhaustion.  People are pushing themselves too hard which is resulting in long lasting fatigue.  You should be exercising in moderation.  Twenty to thirty minutes a day of moderate exercise will give you maximum energy.</p>
<p>Try to maintain the same routine every day &#8211; getting up at the same time, eating at the same times, exercising at the same time, and going to bed at the same time.  If you have trouble falling asleep, just rest quietly with your eyes closed, clear your mind and avoid thinking about any problems.  Visualize yourself in a relaxing, peaceful situation &#8211; such as sitting on the beach listening to the waves.</p>

<p>So what are the secrets that make them healthier?  The following are the most important factors :</p>
<p>Okinawans have a much slower paced life style.  We live in a rush &#8211; rush society which is generally fast paced, hectic and stressful.   We need to learn to slow down and reduce stress.  Stress causes your body to secrete cortisol and other stress hormones that damage the heart and blood vessels and also causes bone loss.  Deep breathing and <strong><a title="Free Meditation Audio" href="http://www.supermindevolutionsystem.com/store/?11116" target="_self">meditation</a></strong> are very helpful and should be practiced on a daily basis.</p>
<p>Okinawans eat a low calorie <strong><a title="Lose Weight" href="http://lifessides.fatsecret.hop.clickbank.net" target="_self">diet</a></strong>.  They consume about 1900 calories a day.  Their diet is mainly plant based and consists of sweet potatoes, soy based foods, fruits, grains and vegetables.  A plant based diet is high in fiber, which reduces cholesterol and lowers the risk of diabetes, breast cancer and heart disease.  They also eat a small amount of fish and infrequently they may eat pork.  Their food is normally cooked in a wok with a small amount of canola oil.  Since their diet is low in fat and calories, they maintain a healthy weight.  Obesity is rare, although the younger generation of Okinawans who are eating a more Westernized diet are starting to become more obese.</p>
<p>They drink about three cups of jasmine tea every day.  Jasmine tea has more antioxidants than black tea.  This may reduce the risk for heart disease and some cancers.</p>
<p>The Okinawans combine aerobic, strength and flexibility exercises.  They practice martial arts and a traditional dance that is like tai chi.  All three types of exercise are important to your health.</p>
<p>Socializing and <strong><a href="http://www.subconscious-secrets.com/affinc/pro.php?id=10071">spirituality</a></strong> is an important part of their lifestyle.  People who have active social and spiritual networks live longer and are less likely to get sick.  They look out for one another and help their neighbors.</p>
