Being Rejected, Low Self Esteem and Loneliness – What To Do?
Being rejected and low self esteem seem to go hand in hand. When you are rejected, no matter what the circumstances may be, is always painful. Rejection and the emotions that go with it can cause low self esteem and loneliness.
The answer to this problem is to put the rejection behind us and try to move forward and repair the damage it has caused. Sometimes people can be unkind and don’t realize the pain they have inflicted on others with their actions and unkind words. These hurtful words can cause low self esteem and damage self confidence.
To boost our self esteem, it is necessary to change the way we think about ourselves. Self esteem is, after all, the feelings and thoughts we have about ourselves. All of our negative self talk must be stopped and replaced with positive affirmations.
Work on a few positive affirmations (such as – “I am a very happy, successful and prosperous person” or “I have lots of friends and always have fun”) that you think will help boost your low self esteem. Repeat these affirmations often throughout the day. Whenever you find yourself thinking negative thoughts, replace them with a positive affirmation.
