Fatigue Causes – Why Am I So Tired ?
Many people are wondering what is causing their fatigue and why are they so tired. Fatigue is one of the most common complaints that people have. In this hectic world we live in, exhaustion will likely continue. Fatigue is not a natural state. Children and animals don’t suffer from fatigue. When they are tired, they sleep and awaken renewed and fresh.
Adults drive themselves too hard and resist the natural biological cycle of resting and activity. In order to banish our fatigue, we must get back in tune with nature and back to a mind and body system of health.
One of the major causes of fatigue is our diet. Your energy can be increased by eating pure fresh foods instead of processed foods. Energy foods include fresh fruits and lightly cooked vegetables, whole grains, and dried beans.
Foods that deplete energy are red meat, cheese, alcohol, coffee and canned foods.
Poor digestion can also cause fatigue. Instead of eating large meals, break them into five or six smaller meals. Chew your food thoroughly and eat slowly.
It is important to reduce stress as much as possible. It drains the body of energy and causes it to function less effectively. Daily meditation for 15 to 30 minutes a day is recommended.
Strenuous exercise is creating an epidemic of exhaustion. People are pushing themselves too hard which is resulting in long lasting fatigue. You should be exercising in moderation. Twenty to thirty minutes a day of moderate exercise will give you maximum energy.
Try to maintain the same routine every day – getting up at the same time, eating at the same times, exercising at the same time, and going to bed at the same time. If you have trouble falling asleep, just rest quietly with your eyes closed, clear your mind and avoid thinking about any problems. Visualize yourself in a relaxing, peaceful situation – such as sitting on the beach listening to the waves.
Have more joy in your life; it is a natural energizer. When you are having fun, you are never fatigued. Studies show that eighty percent of people suffering from chronic fatigue are also suffering from depression or anxiety. Take notice of even the small things in life that bring you joy. Enjoy living a balanced life.
Practice thinking only positive thoughts and push negative thoughts aside. Don’t dwell on negativity.
Once you conquer these causes of fatigue you should be energized and not so tired all the time.
